“I make my work to examine the subject of choice and complex responses to trauma or chaos. Most of my work addresses the tension between serenity and isolation. The viewing experience begins with a connection to an image that feels familiar, but invites the one to question their choices and address internal struggles. Familiar scenes can conjure complex questions regarding thought and approach to mental state. We strive to find balance between anguish and contentment, and how we survive in flux. It is important to investigate beyond the familiar first look and delve into changing emotions by exploring new paths emotionally.”
